Mpumalanga is preparing to welcome back the annual Innibos Lowveld National Arts Festival set to take place from 26 – 29 June 2019. Innibos Kunstefees is a popular local event that celebrates Afrikaans theatre, culture, music, visual arts, literature, cabaret, and more in various locations around Nelspruit – conveniently located just 25 minutes from Nut Grove Manor.
Since its inception in 2003, the festival has continued to grow in popularity with a record 100,000 visitors last year. This number is set to increase this year along with more than 200 performers from musicians and artists, to actors and comedians ready to entertain.
What Can You Expect?
The epicentre of the entire festival is a collection of over 200 stalls selling various crafts, art, and food open to the public. Also located nearby is a great restaurant and beer garden ready to welcome guests seeking a quick and quiet break from the hustle and bustle.
As a proudly family-friendly event, you can expect acts suited for everyone as well as a designated children’s area well-equipped to provide all-day entertainment for the kid’s. To make the festival as accessible as possible there is a shuttle service available for all wishing to attend.

Prepare to be amazed by some of South Africa’s finest skating talents courtesy of the SA School of Skating. Not only will is there some awe-inspiring family entertainment but it is all paired with familiar crowd-friendly sing-a-long songs.

The Ice Rink at I’langa Mall on Friday 28 June at 09;00 & 17:00 and Saturday 29 June at 09:00. The performance lasts 40 minutes and costs R82.00 per person
Get ready for a laugh-a-minute show presented by Comedy Central featuring some of South Africa’s top comedians. Head to the Casterbridge Barnyard just 10 minutes down the road from Nut Grove Manor for some stand-up comedy chuckles. Unfortunately, no under 14’s will be allowed in.

At Casterbridge Barnyard in White River on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 June 2019 at 19:00. The acts last 80 minutes in total and tickets cost R152.00 per person.
All aboard the Innibos Festival Sappi Boeke-Crawl express! Board the Book Crawl Bus on Thursday 27 June 2019 and journey from stop to stop for readings and talks with various writers. This year’s venues include Bohemian Groove Cafe, Silver Mist Guest House, and Van Loveren Wines with artists such as Elsabe Daneel & Wilken Calitz, Riana Scheepers, Waldemar Shultz, and Ira Blankenburg.
When and Where?
Thursday 27 June at 14:00, 16:00 and 18:00 departing from NG Church,Westergloed’s car park, Koraalboomstr. 36. Tickets to the 240-minute tour cost R302.00 per person and include light refreshments.
Venture into the Sudwala Caves to experience performances by Demi Lee Moore – winner of Die Kontrak – musical star André Schwartz, Chris Chameleon, and CH2. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy such talented musicians together in an exceptional, unique venue.

The concert will take place on Friday 28 June at 18:00 and will be around 80 minutes. Tickets can be purchased on Computicket at a cost of R152.00 per person.
